So close to halfway!

We are finishing up Day 4 of the Puzzle fundraiser and it has been WONDERFUL to see so many friends donating and becoming a "piece" of Gabriel's adoption journey. Here is what the front of the puzzle fundraiser looks like:

And here is the progression as puzzle pieces have been purchased over the past four days, showing the names of donors written on the backs of pieces.

DAY 1-4 PROGRESS

How it works is that I take however many puzzle pieces your donation represents and write your name on the back of the pieces. Once the puzzle pieces have all been sold, I will frame the puzzle with glass on the front and back and it will hang in Gabriel’s room. You can choose to buy 1, 2, 5, 10, or however many pieces you like! When you donate, please note that however it shows on the GoFundMe page will be the name I will write on the puzzle pieces. If you want something different written, for example “The Smith Family” instead of “Sarah Smith”, just shoot me an email or message. If you prefer to send a check, let me know and I'll give you my address!

HALFWAY SPOT

We are so close to being at the halfway mark with 32 puzzle pieces left to be "purchased."  Can you donate today and share this fundraiser with your friends? (click here!) If we all tell one friend about the puzzle fundraiser, I know we can make the goal!

Many of you have asked about what are the next steps to me going to pick up my son. Well, we met on my first trip to Bulgaria in October last month. So now I am now doing lots of official paperwork that goes through many official channels both stateside and in Bulgaria before it is completed. Put it this way, I am on a first name basis with the notary at my bank!
This paperwork is needed for his birth certificate, his adoption papers, US passport, court hearings, etc. This can take anywhere from 4-6 months to get finalized and THEN.....drumroll please..... I get to go and pick him up to bring him home!

Thank you to all who have already donated towards this Adoption Puzzle Fundraiser. We are on our way to our goal, and together we will help there be ONE LESS orphan in our world.

Day 2 PUZZLE FUNDRAISER update

We are off to such a great start! There have been 42 people who have chosen to be a "piece" of Gabriel's adoption story and have their names now written on the back of his puzzle! I absolutely can not get enough of watching this once blank slate slowly fill up!

Daily progress:

We are about 1/4 of the way there! Woo hoo!

It warms my heart to think of the day I will tell him about all the folks who wanted to help him come home to me in North Carolina. Can you imagine? A little boy sitting in his room and looking at his puzzle framed on the wall and asking me about all the people's names on the back. He will wonder why strangers who had never met him would donate towards his adoption journey.

I will tell him, "Gabriel, every single name represents a person who wanted to make a difference in your life. They heard your story and wanted you to be safe and loved by Mommy. They helped me go  halfway across the world to bring you home!"

Please keep sharing with friends and spreading the word about this beautiful fundraiser, and thank you for your outpouring of support for Gabriel.

A piece of his Adoption Story

International adoption is expensive y’all. This adoption will end up costing around $30,000. I am hoping to raise $13,000 towards my goal of $24,000 through this fundraiser!

I am super excited about this PUZZLE FUNDRAISER! Here's how it works:

I had a 520-piece puzzle made with this design to the left. I am "selling" each piece for $25. When you donate through my GoFundMe link,(click here)
I take however many puzzle pieces your donation represents and write your name on the back of the pieces. Once the puzzle pieces have all been sold, I will frame the puzzle with glass on the front and back and it will hang in Gabriel’s room.

I can't wait for Gabriel to grow up and read the names of each person who was a part of his adoption story, helping to bring him home to his forever family!

Same goes for if you donate anonymously online but would like to have your name on the puzzle. If you prefer to send a check, let me know and I'll give you my address!

Those who have already donated already have their names on the back of the puzzle! I will post pictures every few days to show the progress.

Here's what we have so far:

Thanks to all of you for your support and prayers!
